Phoenix, AZ — (January 31, 2005) - Vodavi Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:VTEK), a provider of traditional and next generation business telecommunications solutions, and ICS Telecom, Inc. today announced the joint donation of a new telephone system for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester, a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing diverse activities that meet the interests of youth, was selected because of its community outreach and vital need for more efficient communications to support its ongoing success. Vodavi, which donated the new digital telephone system with digital voice mail and 30-button telephone sets, established this community outreach program as a way to help 501c3 charitable organizations have access to the latest communication technologies. Vodavi dealers like ICS Telecom that are located throughout the U.S. who achieve Vodavi’s elite President’s Club status during a given year are eligible to nominate a local area charity to receive this one-time equipment donation. ICS Telecom donated installation and training services.
"One of the top priorities on our Club’s wish list was an upgraded phone system that could offer today’s technologies such as voice mail for our staff members and volunteers, new phone handsets throughout the facility and additional incoming and outgoing lines with auto attendant capability so people calling in could reach their party rather than receive a busy signal," said Dwayne Mahoney, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. "Since the new system was installed we have been able to provide more efficient service, improved the flow of communication within the Club, as well as with our parent organization and donors, and enhanced our community image. We are extremely pleased Vodavi and ICS Telecom assisted us in fulfilling one of our wishes."
"Often nonprofit organizations are not able to allot budget dollars for capital equipment purchases," states I.C. Shah, president of ICS Telecom, Inc. "We are heavily involved in the local community, and we are glad to be able to help The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester improve their business operations. We are especially pleased that our partner, Vodavi, offers this community outreach program that allows non-profits to have access to current technology equipment while continuing their valuable community service work."
